John  F. Burns (“Jack”)   jburns@riverparkgroup.com

 Jack’s extensive financial expertise includes both domestic and  international experience across diverse industries including  professional services, high technology, manufacturing and  financial services.  Jack was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief  Financial Officer for Arthur D. Little, a $650 million global  consulting firm.  Previously, as treasurer of Itek Corporation, a high tech firm in Lexington,  MA, he was responsible for investor relations, foreign currency, financial strategy and risk management.  

Accomplishments include:   

• Completed ADL IPO that involved a multinational carve out and drop down.   
• At ADL, negotiated the structure of three acquisitions, selling or closing nine unprofitable subsidiaries, realizing a gain on each transaction. 
• Arranged public stock and convertible debt offering as well as their private placements at Itek Corporation. 
• Installed a foreign exchange management program to stabilize the cost of imported inventory and supplies. 
• Revised the billing system and working capital program at ADL, reducing working capital by over 30%. 
• Managed financial groups from as small as five to as large as 300.    

Jack  began his career as an auditor for Peat Marwick & Mitchell in  Boston.  He has an MBA in Finance from Babson College and a BA in Accounting from Boston College.  He received his CPA in Massachusetts.
